About Dr. Nathan

Dr. NathanDr. Nathan has been in clinical practice since 1990. He completed his internal medicine and gastroenterology training at St. Joseph’s Hospital Regional Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. He is board certified in the field of gastroenterology and liver disease and is up-to-date in the maintenance of certification program.

Dr. Nathan has extensive clinical experience in performing various gastrointestinal procedures. He has mastered his skills in procedures such as colonoscopy, gastroscopy, ERCP, spyglass cholangioscopy, feeding tube placement, and small bowel capsule endoscopy.

He has participated in clinical research and publications. He is actively involved in screening for colorectal and gastric cancers. His interest also includes chronic liver disease, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, as well as gastroesophageal reflux and post bariatric surgery management.

He is the academic chief of gastroenterology division at Mountainside Hospital. His duties include teaching and enhancing the knowledge of medical students and residents in the field of gastroenterology. He is actively involved in community education through various seminars and workshops. Dr. Nathan is affiliated with Hackensack Mountainside Hospital in Montclair and Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, New Jersey.
